SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies to the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering services which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer care enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it can be alarmed with regard to the high number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim in the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office focused on service the area daily. The services position established for intervention encounters a high influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard with SRD the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more methods to help the servicing of all shoppers and boost access to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
